Erica Shepard
Associate Attorney
Erica Shepard joins Porter Simon’s trust, wills, estate planning and elder law group with seventeen years of experience in trusts and estates law. She is licensed and actively practices both in California and Nevada in the fields of estate and tax planning, probate, trust administration, conservatorships, and trust and estate litigation. She has been certified as a specialist in the areas of estate planning, trust and probate law by the California State Bar’s Board of Specialization, and she holds an advanced tax law degree (L.L.M.). While Erica has focused exclusively on trusts and estates, she has a wealth of experience in other substantive areas frequently at the heart of trust and estate matters including real estate, tax, corporate, and family law. Erica was selected as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers in estate planning and probate law in Northern California in 2020 and Northern California Super Lawyer in estate planning and probate law in 2022 – 2025, an honor reserved for 5% of attorneys in Northern California who exhibit excellence in their practice. Born and raised in Canada, Erica now lives in Truckee with her two children, Harrison and McKinley, and enjoys fly fishing, food and puzzles.
