Traci S. Mason

Associate Attorney

Family Law Practitioner | Porter Simon

★ Best Attorney, Sierra Sun Best Of 2025

Traci Mason’s path to family law runs through sixteen years of Bay Area litigation. She began her career as a criminal defense attorney, handling high-profile cases at the state and federal level before serving as a prosecutor for Santa Clara County, where she litigated matters of equal complexity and public significance. She joined Porter Simon in 2021 and has since focused her practice exclusively on family law, where the legal and personal dimensions of a case are rarely separable.

At Porter Simon, Traci represents clients in divorce, child custody, and support proceedings, including matters involving significant assets, business holdings, and complex financial structures requiring formal valuation. She regularly tries cases in family court and mediates disputes. Her practice draws directly on her litigation background: she knows how to prepare a matter for trial, is experienced in cases where personalities and emotions run high and negotiates with a working knowledge of what happens when a case does not settle.
